Once upon a time, a wife wanted to make her professor husband a romantic new necktie to wear to work.
Something distinctive and alluring. Her design was inspired by their toddler's fascination with binding things,
including wrapping her father in scarves.
"Over many years, I had become frustrated with men's ties. Same tired design,
too stuffy, too unglamorous for the neck. I wanted something suave for my young husband. I kept waiting
for established menswear designers to come up with alternatives. When they didn't, I started sewing prototypes,
and the Tascot® tie was born." —Hannah Silverman, designer & cofounder
"Other tie reinventions then blossomed, and we now offer the Necker and Slash tie as
well. What started as a family project has grown into a small family business, with the focus increasingly on
outfitting men for formal or special occasions." —Brian Silverman, cofounder
A Challenge to the Status Quo of Men's Ties
Tascot Ties offers stylish neckwear for men looking to distinguish themselves.
All of our neckwear is meant to be worn with a shirt's top button undone, for
flair and for comfort. Of course, this is optional—button up if you wish.
Our products have the potential
to revolutionize men's neckwear, because they are innovative yet still sophisticated. They offer more sex appeal
and more comfort than the traditional stuffy ties that have been around for 80-100 years. Historically,
neckwear design has shifted about every century.
It is assumed that many men—and women—are turned
off by the current stagnant tie offerings. Tascot Ties provides the dashing, jetsetter alternatives for which
they have been looking.
Tascot Ties means cool new options for men. Whether for parties, openings, dinners, weddings,
proms, graduations, or workdays...we hope you enjoy them.
The products are:
TASCOT (tie-ascot look in crisp silk)
SOFT TASCOT (tie-ascot-scarf look in soft silk)
NECKER (neckerchief look in soft silk)
SLASH (tuxedo look in satin, suedette, or shimmer polyester)
The TASCOT tie, our original product, is slightly wider and longer
than most neckties. Men can tie it in a regular knot, or fold it and tuck it like an ascot, or drape it like a
scarf...
Make Your Knot Your Own™—wear the crisp silk TASCOT
however you want.
Pocket squares also available.

The SOFT TASCOT tie is identical to the TASCOT, except it is
sewn out of buttery soft silk. It also can be worn as a tie, ascot, scarf—or even a bow.
To channel Jude Law, try it as a scarf. To channel Gilderoy Lockhart, try a bow.
Pocket squares also available.
The NECKER is our sophisticated
answer to rolled bandannas and neckerchiefs. Made of buttery soft silk and shaped in a narrow trapezoid,
it allows men to simply tie or drape it inside (or outside) their shirt collars. Playboys of the world,
unite—or should we say untie?

The SLASH TIE was designed specifically for the formalwear
industry, which sells and rents tuxedos and accessories. Made of superb satin, suedette, or shimmer polyester,
these ties can be cleaned easily. They work for nervous grooms or young prom-goers who aren't used to
tying ties. They also work for gentlemen on the black-tie circuit who want a fresher and more debonair look
than that offered by bow ties or pre-tied neckwear.
There are three ways to wear the SLASH TIE:
simply join together the two sides of the tie with the wide velcro twist
to make a handsome neat knot, or tie as a standard tie for a lovely thick knot, or fold over and tuck in
for a smart ascot knot.
Tie the Knot...or Twist It™—both work for the SLASH TIE.
Boys' size also available, and pocket squares.

All of our products are handcrafted in Canada of 100% silk, polyester, or leather.
"Though ties aren't necessary, they have been around in various forms for over 300 years.
They currently provide a bit of color and a bit of polish to a man's wardrobe.
They also reflect identity. I neither hate ties nor love them, but I appreciate the
panache that our Tascot Ties lend me when I wear them, usually to teach or go out for an occasion."
